THE MAIN DIRECTIONS OF ACTIVITY:

• The state control of using, reproduction and protection of forests;
• Carrying out of the policy directed on expansion and rational use of wood riches, on their reproduction and improvement of condition of forest fund with a view of increase of their ecological and meliorative value for the full satisfaction of needs of a national economy and the population in wood production;
• The account and studying of forest fund;
• Conducting the hunting facilities, departmental management and the control over observance of rules, norms, terms of hunting, the order of conducting the hunting facilities and other requirements on protection and use of fauna, correctness and timeliness of development and carrying out of actions on preservation of an inhabitancy, conditions of reproduction and ways of migration of animals, conducting the state cadastre hunting-trade animals in territory of forest fund;
• Realization of measures on preparation and manufacture of raw plants;
• Observance of the forestry legislation, the control over execution of the specifications and technical documentation on conducting forest and hunting facilities.

Creation of serpentariums, nurseries under the maintenance and cultivation of adders and other valuable animals (including fishes), fur farms and shops on processing puffy-fur production, and also production of hunting and fishery and their realization, opening of joint ventures on foreign hunting tourism is authorized to central administrative board of forestry.

The structure of Central administrative board of forestry:

• Department of forestry and the state control over a condition of forests;
• Department of the state forest cadastre;
• Department of forest creation and its enlarging;
• Department collateral forest use;
• Management of reserves, national parks and the hunting facilities;
• Republican forest station;
• The Karakalpak republican management of forestry.
